Bookings and Cancellation Policy 

We are currently offering 3 different length Seasonal Tasting Menus (Samples available on our website). 

Advanced booking is essential and will now only be able to be done up to 3 months in advance. Guests must inform the restaurant of allergies or dietary requirements prior to their reservation. 

Bookings for 1-4 guests for our Tasting Menu may be booked by telephone on 0191 281 5222 between the hours of 10:30am-9pm Wednesday-Saturday. Reservations can also be made online through our website www.peaceandloaf.co.uk using Opentable or by emailing us at info@peaceandloaf.co.uk.

Bookings of 4+ guests must now be booked and confirmed directly with the restaurant to directly support customer and staff safety. 

Our Larger Tasting Menu can take up to 3 and a half hours.  Guests must request this in advance if booking online but need to be made aware we cannot guarantee space if booking via this method. This being the case, we would always recommend calling the restaurant or emailing if desiring this menu. Furthermore this menu is only served until 1pm at lunch times and 8:30pm at dinner. 

Guests will be allowed their table for 2 hours for smaller Tasting Menus and 3 hours for the larger offering. If you are running late please let the restaurant know. If you are more than 15 minutes late, Peace and Loaf reserves the right to re-sell your table. After your allocated time and for health and safety regarding covers, staff reserve the right to ask your table to be vacated for cleaning and relaying purposes. 

Bookings on evenings will require credit or debit card details to secure your booking. No charges will be made to your card unless the booking is cancelled or decreased in numbers with less than 24 hours notice from the time of your reservation.

If any cancellations or amendments occur within 24 hours of your reservation time, Peace & Loaf reserves the right to implement a cancellation/no show/amendment fee of £20 per person.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements   

You should always advise your server of any special dietary requirements, including intolerances and allergies. Where possible, our trained staff will advise you on alternative dishes. However, while we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in our restaurants, we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are free from allergens and therefore cannot accept any liability in this respect. Guests with severe allergies are advised to assess their own level of risk and consume dishes at their own risk. 

The information provided on our website and in our restaurants should NOT be considered as any form of guarantee but as a best faith effort to provide you with information on our dishes. You should use this information to help you assess your own level of risk, based on your personal circumstances, before eating any of our dishes. 

The allergen information we provide is specifically related to the dishes we make at Peace & Loaf and in response to enquiries into special dietary requirements and our ingredients. 

We can’t wait to see you! But please remember, even if it’s your first time or you’re a regular guest please ALWAYS inform us of any allergies or intolerances so we can take additional controls when serving your food and drink.

Adjustments or changes requested to any of our menus will be considered, if possible or appropriate but cannot be guaranteed.

If you have not informed us at the point of booking, please contact the restaurant to discuss your requirements with a member of our team as soon as possible.
